Hey KKF,
Here is my budget friendly and readily available take on the Konosuke “FM” dammy 240 gyuto. Blade is nakagawa x myojin blue 1, handle is Konosuke purchased from Tosho. I removed the original finish and hand sanded the blade giving it a more subtle kasumi. Why did I do all this? I’m dumb and I was bored.
Balance is aggressively forward due to the light handle. Although it may not be Tanakas blue 1, nakagawa’s feels great on stones and takes a killer edge.
Asking $480 shipped conus
