Try looking for "ebano per il tornio". I saw some 38mm square blanks in various places.

One more thought - your handle is wonderfully minimalist and clean, but what about a handle with metal spacers? That would add some weight at the handle end without needing to get ebony.

i think you read my mind the handle i'm making has two brass spacers,but still doesn't seem to make a big difference,i've read also lignum vitae is extremely heavy
