Hey guys. Same deal with the knives. Landlord selling condo, car damage, blah blah blah. I’m in a jam and that’s why i’m selling these just like the knives. A lot has to go. I’ll be keeping these in the US for now
1) Morihei aizu #88 $300 SOLD
This one to me is a gem. I worked with Evan from strata to find this one. I was looking for an aizu that was not so fine like all the others I’ve had. This one is just that. It’s a gorgeous stone. Not as fine as some of the 6k ish aizu. Leaves a wicked edge and is useful in a polishing progression. This aizu weighs 1413.6g. Measurements are : L ( 7.5in) W (2.5in) H (2.25in)
2) Okudo suita $600 SOLD
This is one of two stones I purchased from a super knowledgeable forum member. He became my main supplier until the you know what hit the fan and I wasn’t able to make any purchases. This is a serious gem. This is one of two twin stones. He has the other and is probably keeping it forever. I was planning on keeping this forever myself, but life happened. This leaves an absolutely awesome edge and is a breeze to polish with. This stone feels like butter when in use. It’s the perfect hardness and it self slurries. This suita weighs 1155.4g. The measurements are: L (7.6in) W (2.75in) H (1.6in).
3) Mikawa nagura $550 SOLD
This is the second stone from the forum member. This one is really nice. It’s a finer stone. I don’t always force a slurry, you don’t have to. This one brings out some nice details in various cladding. It’s not difficult to use, but it’s not on the muddy side. I’m sure if I can sort of figure it out, one of you can . I really love this stone and was planning on keeping it as well. Leaves a really nice bright polish. This is a big boy too. This stone weighs 1818.1g. Measurements are: L (8.75in) W (2.85in) H (2in)
4) maruoyama shiki uchigumori $300 SOLD
I picked this one up from Craig at CKC. Really nice stone, self slurries, leaves a polish that is a cross of suita like and uchi like. Pretty easy to use this one. Also leaves a pretty sweet edge. I was surprised actually. Gorgeous stone as well. This one weighs 1114.2g. Measurements: L (6.5in) W (2.8in) H (1.75in).
!OTHERS!
morihei uchigumori nagura - $80–> $70- used this a couple times with the maruoyama. They work well together.
Nano hone 25 micron diamond resin - $90
Used this a few times. Hasn’t dished much yet. This is an awesome stone. Suuuupeer fast at scratch removal and also leaves a really awesome edge. This series is exciting from Hap.
JKI vitrified diamond 1k/6k - $290 SOLD
I love this set. It’s just so awesome. Would love to keep it, but can’t. I have probably used these 3 times. They are pretty much brand new. Comes with the two naguras to clean and sort of flatten them. These barely dish. The spots on the stones are just water from my hands being wet.
I am by no means a polish master. Took plenty if pics. Message me with any questions.
