Hello folks,

I have never used a makisu before and I was looking at the ones offered by Hasegawa. For people with experience, which size do you believe is most versatile/the best?

They offer them in small (250mmx165mm), medium (250mmx240mm) and large (250mmx305mm).

This is going to be used at home.

Also depends on what you’re making. Most people use the other sizes for things like hosomaki, futomaki, datemaki, tamagoyaki, etc…
I’m just starting out! Probably just hosomaki for now! What are the large and small sizes advantageous for in particular?
