Hi all! I have two 190mm gyotos that I'm putting up for sale. I may be interested in trading for one if someone has a knife by a western maker that is comparable.
First up is a 190 x 45 gyoto from Bryan Raquin that I picked up from a private sale last year. I'm the second owner and the knife has seen very light use and has never been sharpened by the original owner and myself. Bog oak handle with sanmai construction consisting of 125sc and wrought I believe. I bought it for 525 and am looking to sell it for the same shipping conus included.
The Evan is 190x54 Honyaki that weighs in at 180g. I bought her from the original owner in Dec of last year almost bnib and it has been used some but not abused and never sharpened or stropped. I paid $725 and am looking to get the same for it shipping conus included. The steel is Aogami 2 the handle material he used is mango wood and there is a beautiful walnut saya which Evan made that is included as well.
