Description
Went on a Sakai Kikumori spree and I'm letting one go. Used a few times and sharpened once. Forged by Tanaka (hamono or the smith himself, not sure which) but not sure who the sharpener was. Swapped the original octo handle with a D handle.

This is the cheapest I've been able to find it at $625 brand new.

This line has one of the best fit and finish I've seen out of a stock japanese knife. Tanaka B#1, and the grind is subtle convex with the myojin-style chamfers on spine and a wonderfully polished choil. Top tier Sakai stuff right here for a steal.

Question about the d handle that you've installed on all the knives you're currently selling (and apologies if it's against BST rules, happy to discuss over DM):

Do you just prefer the shape and feel vs the octagonal or is it more aesthetic purposes? Asking as an unfortunate lefty in the land of knives

Preference for feel, but I also tend to like the aesthetics of a rounded handle so a little bit of both. But mostly feel because the size feels the best in my hand.
