Canada, eh?
Had this for about a month now and while a very nice knife, just isn't ticking a couple of boxes for me.

198x46, 149g, ~3mm above the heel. Slight forward balance in the pinch. Feels like much more of a knife than the weight suggests.

Here is the product page: Sakai Kikumori Nakagawa 210 White 1

Wabi sabi done right - the forge finish on it has a number of obvious finish scratches in it (that it came with), but the rest is very well done. Rounded spine and choil. All the touch points are well done.

Wide bevel grind that, when a ruler is placed up against the edge, appears flat from edge to shinogi. I don't know how flat it is from heel to tip, but seems like it would be a great knife for polishing if you're into that sort of thing.

Edge was zero ground out of the box (it would cut product but not paper towel). I did pass it over a 1K and 6K Shapton and it is sharp enough for me at this point (although it likely could be gotten sharper than I've gotten it).

The saya pin is in the box. Have never used it so, didn't bother to take it out for the photo

Price: $520CAD (10% off of what I had to pay) $350CAD (~$256USD), Paypal G&S, shipped in Canada/ConUS. As always, if you're in Canada reach out for Interac/local pickup discounts. US dollar value is approximated using Visa's exchange calculator.

Choil shot is slightly deceiving I think due to the light. The grind is very symmetric.

What boxes did this not tick?

For the size of my collection, each knife has a very specific role and has to perform up to my particular standards For this knife, the profile and grind aren't quite what I want, so needs to move to so I can put something else into its spot that matches my likes better. I have no doubt that someone else will find it excellent.
