I haven't used any yet, but these caught my eye some time back:
Angle wetches for sharpening
But yes, you don't need them. I was told it's more important to have a consistent than a specific angle. You'll adjust the angle to your wishes - in terms of the knife's performance - according to feedback from use anyway.
