Picked this up recently direct from Mr. Prull. I had been looking to replace my smaller Shihan AEB-L gyuto but ended up finding that this one is a bit too big to fill that niche in my lineup. Wouldn't mind keeping it but I don't need two Shihans...

230x54.5, 245g, spine is approximately 4.2/4.2/3.0/0.8 (as measured by somewhat glitchy digital calipers). I asked Shehan to go a little thinner than usual at the tip but otherwise let him cook. Has subtle and very fine and detailed banding throughout - not currently etched but would be pretty stunning if someone put in the effort to make it pop. Has been used for maybe 8 meal preps, never sharpened, and has a few spots of patina starting to form.

Trade value is $620, which is what I paid. I am looking only for trades from the following list at this time. Preference for either 180-195 or 225-255 length gyutos.
  • Bidinger*
  • Milan*
  • Xerxes*
  • Kamon*
  • Antzenberger
  • Tsourkan WH
  • Kippington
  • Hopwood
  • Northside
  • Lucid
  • Comet
  • Suntravel
  • Radiona Breg
  • Dalman
  • Blank Blades
  • LaSeur
  • Will consider other western makers only if it's in wrought clad ApexUltra
* Would realistically be looking for production/less premium versions from these guys.

I also have a few other options for potential 2-for-1 swaps (HVB, BBxDalman, Newham) if you're interested.

Thanks KKF!
