Basically brand new, used it some, but haven't sharpened it. Really like the knife, great fit and finish, feels very powerful, like the steel very little reactivity so far. Just can't get used to the profile, the way I cut and with the height of my counter+board it feels different from my other knives. With all the other knives I bought and that are coming, something has to go $485 shipped CONUS.

Height is 53-54 mm, I'll check when I get home. Can't weight it, since I don't have a scale that can measure it. According to the website it is 238 g, feels very powerful, partially because of the very light Ho wood handle.

Just measured it with a tape measure..... 241-242x53-54 I really need to get something more precise. Don’t have a scale so weight is unknown to meo_O

I picked one up in the past year and really enjoy using it. The blade shape takes a little getting used to, but I've found it easy to manage. With a polish and patina, it's a heckofa gorgeous knife. GLWS

Shi_han's A2 treatment is unreal. Fantastic steel. And the grind he puts on is flawless.

I did put a heavier handle on mine and now prefer the balance. It's a very powerful blade that I thought overwhelmed the ho wood handle.

Great, great price on a great, great knife.

I think that's what I would do too if I decided to keep it. I really like it, but between needing to get used to the profile and changing the handle.... biggest issue is too many bought and incoming knives:D

These have been on my radar for a while... GLWS

Here's a profile pic of my Shi-Han A2, compared to the new JNS Mazaki. My SH has a large flat zone compared to the maz, and a lower tip. OP: is your profile like mine?

There's pic in OP

Thanks guys. The edge profile is actually really similar to Xerxes Primus if Primus was longer and also to a TX that I have, which is also shorter. I tried to show it in pictures, but it is not working very well. Below is my poor attempt.

Yeah, my point of posting was to show that the Shi-Han doesn't have an odd or even unique profile. I think there was some confusion about that in this thread. OP: your comparison pictures are better than mine, so I'm glad you posted. Shi-Han knives are flawlessly made. I think his A2 steel is remarkable.
