On the harder side but still useable for knives due to its high abrasive content. This is a fast stone and it is also quite fine. Should also work well for razors. I used it as final finisher and for Uraoshi sharpening on my single bevel knives and it was awesome for this task. But as there are no singles left the stone can go to a new home.
It has some Namazu on the surface which will become more over time, I saw the bottom . The stone is glued to an Apple wood base for stability. The stone itself measures 140x83x23mm.
I will add a small piece of Renge Suita and an equally small Nakyama Maruka (cut by myself off a piece from a broken stone) to this stone that can be used as Nagura. The Ohira will make almost pure Suita slurry and the Nakayama is so hard that it’s more base stone what you will get.
Asking 150€ (176$) including shipping in Europe, for international I will cover the first 15$.
