Part of this looks very familiar... some not so much. All quite fun no matter how you cut it.

Initial thoughts:
- Hands down, these are the most comfortable and ergonomic knives that I've ever held
- The balance is really excellent, and that’s despite the sexy taper
- Performance is amazing, nail flexing thin behind the edge
- The combination of balance, thin grind, and comfort gives great control and feedback through your finger tips
- Classy elegant handle and aesthetics

This is the best one yet. A bit smaller and lighter than normal but the control on it is amazing. Much more nimble than my last ones.

That's a beauty for sure. Congrats!

Feeling really fortunate and lucky after a purchase from a fellow member here on two knives (probably not the biggest mystery to solve).

1. Hitohira Tanaka x Yohei Damascus 240mm

2. Hado Blue #1 Damascus 240mm Gyuto - WITH A SURPRISE.

I opened the box and immediately recognized that this was not a stock handle and I had seen it before…

From what I have investigated, I’m the third owner of this knife and it was the original prototype of Hado making a Damascus Gyuto for Chef’s Edge in Australia. Really cool discovery and it now makes me really really nervous to use it (and I may never??)

Anyways
