That's a really cool looking knife
LaSeur integral in 52100 220 x 53 and a Yanick nakiri in 135cr3 clad in vintage iron that's 190 x 60
That LaSeur looks really good, how does it cut?

Cool little knife.
It cuts really well. I've used it at work for the last 3 days and have no complaints. The taper on it is really nice, the front half is great for shallots and more delicate prep and the back half can push thru everything I've thrown at it so far.
nice! how tall and thick is yours? (I saw the measurements at KJ but they
seem to vary quite w bit from knife to knife… part of the wabisabi lol)
39mm at the heel. Spine is 2.6 at the handle and .28 at the tip.

Right?! That might be my favorite of all of these. I asked for a slightly smaller version of a 313g beast he made me in s35vn. This one checks in at 271g. Small correction, I fat fingered it on the height which is actually 74mm.
The handle on the Spare goes crazy too
eBay coming through with a 10” Forgecraft for $35! Should keep me busy for a minute with thinning work

Mine also arrived yesterday, and whilst I can’t compete with that photography I can provide some comparison shots against my Seiryu.
My 240 WH comes in at 309g, with the 240 Seiryu at 307g.
Didn’t think it was possible to make a Seiryu look a bit skinny by comparison, but here we are.

Handling the 210 makes me want to add a 240 to the stable, and makes me even more curious about the last 210mm versions that weighed in ~300g…

Damn man - You've been busy. I was wondering who snagged that Newham Rainbow knife.
How do you like the Baldwin? Been following him on insta.
Also - Need people to get off the Eddworks train. (Only saying so that his wait times go down and I can get my hands on more of them.).
Lucas Baldwin/LB Bladeworks does some really nice work. It's my first knife in Magnacut, haven't sharpened it yet, but it performs really nicely. I'm fairly impressed by his work so far.

to solve my want of a Chinese cleaver, but also something that will fit into my knife block.

Definitely more lasery, stiction was sort of an issue but patina I forced is helping. Just made some apple coleslaw today to compliment some boiled pork belly. Blasted through the cabbage with amazing feel. A kohlrabi and loganma/black vinegar slaw test will need to wait till next year one they are back in season.
it feels like I have more space than a Chinese cleaver for the larger veggies (cabbage from my local farmers market is somehow twice the size of what i expect). because it lets me use a pinch grip, while a cleaver i feel like i'm basically grabbing the knife where i lose like a good inch and a half to my grip.
I don't think this could fill a role for like a 1 knife dinner, knife but definitely a tool in my box for the big veggie slaws. My first 52100. Steel could be harder, but it takes a edge wicked fast on cheap synth stones.

They don’t. They are about 3/32 thick, the early ones were ground thinner at the edge.

I had a great two week vacation in Japan. During my time there I stopped by Takada no Hamono and Nakagawa Kajiya. I bought a petty from Takada-san and even got him to sign the box. Nakagawa-san doesn't have anything for sale in his shop, but he did direct me to one of his more recent shipments at Jikko. I wish I bought a knife before I visited him, but I still got him to sign a bag before leaving. The petty has already been put to work, but the honyaki will stay in the cupboard to salt up for a while until I get the courage to use it.
