You’re probably right about that as I just noticed one of the knives that he uses Silverline in the steel description he also indicates 1.2419 as the edge steel.

Hey guys!
@blokey is right!
I use the term "Silverline" Steel for Go-Mai Constructions with a pure nickel inlay and black surroundings...cause it...got a silver..line.. :D
I am a big fan of contrast, so this is pretty much one of my favourite steels next to Stainless Clad San Mai's!
The Core steels on these are 1.2419 or Apex Ultra, cladding of O2 steel cause it etches nicely black.

One day we'll see a nice variation of 'gold vein'? ; )
I thought about calling it "Silver vein" Or "Nickel Vein" just for fun.
But i didn't want to be "That" guy 🤣

Haha tell that Mr. Hangler and Mr. Wolkerstorfer, i'd be down to do one 😂

Hey @martinhuber could you talk a bit about where your gyuto grind falls on the range from ultra laser to heavy workhorse? Maybe a bit about your overall performance objectives when it comes to the grind and blade overall?

I was sorely tempted by your drop but have no clue if they’d suit my preferences or not and couldn’t find any reviews (other than the nakiri passaround thread).

Hey @Delat !
Personaly i'd say my knives are more in the light-medium workhorse style.
I have changed my grind style lately from a full heavy workhorse to a light-medium workhorse style, so they are now starting with the last batch thinner on the middle hight than before, what a few knifelovers said are better than the grind i had before. (i had a few people who are lovely Nerds try out my knife a few weeks ago)
On my Cleavers and Nakiri's i'll keep the full convex for a nicer choppy chop but still a little thinner than before.

In the next batch available there will be a few mono's and San Mai's again!
If you have any more questions feel free to ask :)
