I was in Surplus Sales of Nebraska ordering some replacement Vacuum tubes for a radio project. Surplus Sales being what they are it is interesting to look and see what else they have, I found this 9 1/2" grinding wheel. It is a vintage tool grinder. Its original use was to sharpen cutting tools for shapers, planers, and metal lathes. This would clean up nicely. They still make the grinding stones for it, and the ones that use a diamond paste are available. It would make a great knife sharpener. Just add an electric motor to it and you are good to go. Just so you know I have been a customer of Surplus sales for over 20 years. It's a great outfit.
