Recently bought a slow cooker, and want to have a go at doing Brisket, so looking for a tried and tested recipe.

Any other slow cooker recipes would also be welcome!, particularly ways of doing beef/pork.

Thanks in advance KKF!

One suggestion is to use very little (no more than a cup) of highly concentrated liquid in your braise. Also, assuming your cooking the brisket flat, leave the meat exposed/uncovered in refrigerator well salted at least 24hrs before cooking.

After the meat has come to about 180 degrees in your crock pot. Take off lid, remove meat, run your sauce through a separator, cool all ingredients on counter to room temp. Then Put meat fat side up in a pan and cover with the strained jus and place in refrigerator for 24hrs.

To serve, place brisket from refrigerator into cold oven. Set oven to 325 cook for 30-45 min uncovered, braise with sauce occasionally.
