Hey All!

Turns out I love Belgian Blue Stones, said screw it’s and bought the big 8x3 one so I’m set now. Selling these couple smaller ones with their nagura stones. Throwing a Shapton 320 in for free on the bigger one. Prices include shipping , no international shipping sorry.

Larger one is 8x2 inch from Ardennes
Price = $40.00 SOLD

Smaller one is 6x1.5inch or so from Belgian Brocken Stone or something, sticker is on it.
Price = $30.00

Congratulations

I was no joke taking a break from a "scratch removal, aesthetics improvement" learning project and doing some KKF research on the Shapton 320, with another tab open and a 320 showing, when this ad popped up.

And I've loooooong wanted to try a Belgian.

Super excited!

You’ll enjoy it ;) also you can go from the 320 right to the Belgian if you want a crazy bitey edge that doesn’t actually feel like a saw on the board. Normally finishing that low makes for board contact feel I don’t enjoy but a short bit of time on the Belgian right from the 320 smooths it enough to make it a better feeling edge while retaining major tooth

i'll take the bigger one if it's still available. PMing now :)

Sorry the larger one is SOLD

Just the smaller one 6inch by 1.5inch left

I'll take the big one sir. PM in bound.

Nice one :). Needed to be quick off the mark there!

Too bad.
After hearing good things about Belgian blue stone I want try them.
I wish those stone shipped from AU

Apart from finding old ones on the cheap (which is very possible), there are unfortunately few places here that sell the Belgian stones it seems. This is the only one I can think of:

https://www.thewoodworks.com.au/shop/equipment/honing-slates
Note that these are combi stones with yellow coticule, and it'd be worth checking that the reverse side is BBW rather than slate, which sometimes also gets used.

[EDIT - actually a quick google reveals there are lots of places to buy BBW in Aus. Though obviously not as cheap as Snake's silly-value pricing!]
