Say that three times fast
***Side note - all knives are sent fully insured, with tip protectors and in a shipping tube. I also vacuum seal the knives in a 5mil thickness bag. I've never had a single knife that I've sent arrive damaged, CONUS or international, and I don't intend on letting that trend end anytime soon***
Posting a few knives to make room and free up some funds for two big customs I've been waiting on for a while. If you'd like any additional info or pictures, let me know. Included every original selling post that was still available online. Posting this many knives and not giving back to this forum in some way feels a little bit too much like suckling a teat, so 3% of whatever sells will be donated back to the forum. Price includes shipping in CONUS, I will cover first $15 for international. Price is F&F, if using G&S please cover the extra fees. Thanks guys!
Straub "Little Wing" Bunka 218mm
Bought here, where you can find better pictures and info. Still in my opinion one of his coolest damascus patterns, and if it wasn't for it's size I'd use it more. Selling for $2200 $2150
Burke Monosteel 52100 Integral Gyuto 235mm Sold
Bought here. My first Burke and the one that made me fall in love with his work. Very sturdy, somewhat workhorse-y. Holds it's edge for so long and is really just a joy. Paid $1800, selling for $1600.
Burke Random Damascus Gyuto 235mm Sold
Bought at Blade Show. A fantastic laser, but doesn't ever feel brittle or fragile. I don't remember what steels he used, could certainly ask him if need be. I seem to remember paying $1850 for it, so $1650 it is.
Isasmedjan Spicy White Honyaki Gyuto 230mm SOLD
Bought here. Bought for $730, selling for $600 $550.
Dalman Swedish Carbon Honyaki S-Grind Gyuto 210 mm SOLD
Bought here, again a little too small for me but a lovely knife overall. Holds an edge for a suspiciously long time. Bought for about $500 total, selling for $425.
Schroeder Damasteel "Honeycomb" Gyuto 210mm SOLD
Bought from Damasteel Invitational. I believe this was his first time doing a shibuichi casting for a knife handle, and I have to say it feels very nice in hand. I wanted him to make a saya that continued the same theme, so he made a 3 part "san mai" saya with a softer wood on the inside to preserve the edge, surrounded by a stunningly beautiful stabilized and dyed burl wood. The chatoyance on it is amazing, and the entire shibuichi cast of the knife bolster fits inside the saya, so it is rather thick. Paid $1610 for the knife, and another $400 for the saya, so willing to let it go for $1600. $1550
Oatley San Mai Vtoku2 core Gyuto 240mm SOLD
Bought here. Main standouts for this one is it's food release and edge retention. Especially love it for raw fish. There's a smaller one selling here for $2300, I paid $1800 for mine so letting it go for $1600. $1550
Franco Integral Mosaic Gyuto 210mm
Bought here. Another wonderful example of damascus. The pattern is so fine and detailed you could stare at it for hours. The size and profile mean I primarily use it for meat trimming, which it is a delight for, but I definitely don't use it enough. Comes with a leather saya. Paid $2800, letting go for $2600. $2550
