I am honored to offer these two knives which are from a small batch custom collaboration with Fujiwara San.

The core steel is in-house laminated W1 with the same heat treatment as the Maboroshi, but with a KU finish.

Each knife is hand finished on stones by Andrew Tarling @Forty Ounce to ensure the highest quality, focusing on removing low spot while respecting the intentions of TF.

Kanji is hand engraved by the master.

Back story
I started this project quite a while ago approaching Fujiwara San to obtain a batch of knives without handles. I was a little surprised by the response. As he insists on performing and inspecting each step, it was not possible. I was also informed that many people have made the same request over the years, but he has turned them down. However, after discussing my views on knives nature and philosophy, reviewing my handle work and talking to others in the industry that knew my work he agreed to my idea. Apparently he really likes my handles.

The handle on these knives are
1) Siamese Rosewood and African Blackwood
