Just willing to try a cleaver for general tasks at home, I've a Suien on its way.
It's a monosteel, but on photos I see a fake lamination line as with San mai — but there, at least, it is real.
How do you deal with that? My idea would be to get rid of it at the first sharpening.
Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.
 
Nail Polish Remover and a rag is the way to go.
