I bought this knife from Sugi Cutlery just a couple of weeks ago. I purchased the blade only listing and one of his custom handles at that time, and while I’ve decided to part with the knife, I’m keeping that handle. I’ve installed an ebony handle from Tokushu Knife that I had on hand onto the blade, as seen in the photos.
I sharpened the knife after receiving it and have used it a handful of times. While the knife is truly remarkable in terms of both F&F and cutting performance, I’ve just finally accepted the fact that I really, really, really prefer my Gyutos taller at the heel (at least 53mm or so). This guy is measuring 49mm, BTW. If I wasn’t so picky about blade height, I have no doubt I’d be keeping this beauty.

The knife has been boxed up and will see no further use from me prior to sale/trade.
These are $259 blade only from Sugi. I’m asking $259 $249 $239 $225 $205 including insured shipping in the CONUS with the Tokushu handle installed. Will ship in the original Tadokoro box just as I received it.
