Totally unchanged and unsharpened. I bought this rascal on an impulse because I wanted to try one of the legendary Takedas of yesteryear. The hype is real, It's thicker at the spine, way thinner at the edge than the new ones. Cuts like a laser but releases food like a workhorse. I simply can't afford to keep it long term, and I have something coming up that needs my wallets attention.
