    I spoke with James about it very briefly.
    My understanding is it’s ostensibly a White #2 version of the ever-delicious The James in Blue 1. More affordable, as such.

    Oh wow someone should get this. Tosa as the sharpener is a big deal for me. I don’t think he was the sharpener for earlier James honyakis.
    Then again that chili shot isn’t encouraging.

    I wonder how many of these are made? I really like mine. It seems he makes (Kenji) only a handful of honyakis each year. Pattern varies. Can anyone comment? @James ?

    I’ve seen the Tamashi honyaki series here on their earlier IG posts. https://www.syoukon-hamono.com/
    (I’m not 100% you can find it on the website, but it’s on one of their IG posts)

    It had Sakura petals engraved on the right side of the Hamon and the left side has chiseled kanji that reads Takayuki Tamashi, also chiseled on the Hamon. The finish is very similar to the one seen on KNS.

    This is a standard Takayuki line rather than KNS specific.
