1.Kagekiyo Blue #1 Damascus Gyuto, 240mm - $600 SOLD
This might be the most beautiful knife I own. But it isn't just a pretty face, with Yoshikazu Tanaka's legendary Blue #1 steel, passed to Baba Hamono for a world-class wide-bevel grind and outstanding fit-and-finish. It's paired with a ridiculously gorgeous black urushi handle and saya. At first glance it looks like a very nice black handle, but when it catches the light you'll see amazing gold speckles. The photo of the handle is taken in direct sunlight to highlight the effect. It feels great in hand and looks amazing. This knife is truly Brand New In Box (BNIB). It's been taken out for photos, but hasn't ever cut anything. Includes matching saya.
2.Hitohira Tanaka x Kyuzo, Stainless-Clad Migaki Blue #1, 240mm - $525 SOLD
One of the best performing knives I've used, this one has developed a nice patina on the core steel. I thought this would be one of my forever knives, but I just wasn't reaching for it enough.
3.Konosuke Fujiyama FM White #1 Petty, 150mm - $400 SOLD
This is a great little knife, but I've come to the realization that I prefer stainless or stainless-clad for my petties. Tanaka forged, Myojin ground. It's an FM. Brand new, in box - it's never cut a thing.
