Catch and release from @More_Gyutos, whose description was entirely accurate and who is a first rate KKFer. Realized that I made an impulse buy of a knife that duplicates things I have and have on the way.
Tanaka x Kyuzo Blue #1 gyuto. Used, but in outstanding shape. I took it out of the box to admire it, but I haven’t cut a thing. I did use a bit of micromesh and uchigomori powder from Strata on the tip scuff that More_Gyutos mentions in the original listing, and it reduced the scuff considerably in less than a minute’s worth of polishing.
Note that because this was polished with Flitz, the true shinogi line is visible on the left side of the blade.
Specs:
Steel: Blue #1
Blacksmith: Yoshikazu Tanaka
Sharpener: Kyuzo (Yauji)
Cladding: iron
Finish: migaki
Length: 230mm
Height at heel: 58.5mm
Weight: 180g
Handle: Ziricote w/black buffalo horn
Original listing, photos, and description here:

Looking for $450 shipped in the USA.
