Superlative edge taking. Pretty much perfect for me, performance wise in edge taking inferior to nagahiro, but more aggressive in food. Feels like very hard white 1, but I'm not sure what steel it is. Harder and glassier than unshu yukimitsu (which feels more buttery), toothier than tf white. Not as glassy as TF white 1. Reminds me mildly of the denka aggression, but not as alloyed, hard, or glassy, or wear resistant. Doesn't auto deburr as amazing as nagahiro. Aggressive edge taking, and great refinement. Iron is very soft feeling. Wide bevel sharpened and fingerstone finished. Left side is slightly more convex grind. Low grit marks from maker on right side still. Low spots on left side shinogi near tip, and at heel. Right side shinogi slightly higher than left side. Edge is centered with regard to spine. Grind is very good and thin, good release too. Swarf on handle.
I don't use it much cause I just like to try steel, and I like to bash knives into the cutting board -- so softer knives are my user preference.
