Protect edges for shipping oil the set with CVS food grade mineral oil & some drops of clove oil.

8.25" I carve turkey at my nieces house & make gravy from drippings. Knife is about same length as this one. It had deep nicks along its side so kept it for myself. Breaks down a turkey well. This blade is different straight spine instead of peaks & false bevel near the tip.

I have no doubt that this is a good carving blade. Also no pitting on either side of knife
Hard to find with these antique carving sets.

Price drop on this excellent Landers Frary Clark
140.00 shipped. Taking a loss on this set. You just don't find them this nice anymore. Rare

Cracked stag handles, lots of pitting from rust, miss shape blades from sharpening, that's the
norm. This only had heavy scratch's from steeling I took them out. Even all the fine sterling silver workmanship is intact.
