My first thought, God, that's ugly. Second thought: Looks uncomfortable and heavy?

Then, I saw it was offered at the bargain price of only USA $1,950.00.

After that, I laughed so hard my dog became quite concerned.

Then, I realized that at least this dude IS making knives, what have I done lately? Now my feelings are conflicted.

The handle first made me think it was prince. Then I saw the kanji and didn’t think he did that and got confused. Then for relieved when I found out it was intact prince. The entire cycle of doubting my knife knowledge in 6 seconds it took for the link to load.

Yeah most of his work is like that. Rough, incredibly overpriced, almost amateurish in some of the forging approaches.

But he’s also one of the few people doing a stainless wootz, and that earns as much respect as any other maker gets from me due to the insane technicality of it. Even most of the wootz makers don’t normally do stainless.

🤔

Now, to find a maker that doesn't do anything like this.

Then ask for it made in Rex 121, when they don't work with Rex 121.

That's how it's done, right @OwlWoodworks?

I'm not sure why people are complaining; it's ludicrously thick, tall and heavy, and looks like a melted down boat anchor. If it had the name Tanaka, Kato or TF on it people would stumble over themselves to buy it!
