Bought this knife from another member on here but have had wayyyy too many purchases in the past year and never got around to using it. I thought I wanted some SS cladded knives in the arsenal, but have since changed my mind. So this one gets a new home.
$515 $415 shipped conus, comes with Saya.
Knife is BNIB.
Also willing to trade for Minamoto Yasukuni 240mm OR 270mm gyuto. The migoto ones look sweet.
Below are the specs from strata:
Brand: Hitohira ひとひら (一片)
Smith: Togashi Blacksmith 富樫打刃物製作所
Profile: Gyuto
Edge Steel: Blue #1 (Aogami)
Steel Type: Carbon
Cladding: Stainless Kasumi
Bevel: Double
Bevel Symmetry: 50/50
Hand Orientation: Ambidextrous
Handle: Ebony Wa
Total Length: 388mm
Edge Length: 226mm
Spine Length: 242mm
Blade Height: 51mm
Thickness at Spine: 2.1mm
Thickness ½ way: 1.8mm
Thickness ~1cm from Tip: 0.8mm
Handle Length: 144mm
Weight: 200g
Last picture depicts some deeper scratches along the blade. The knife has been living in its box, and they go exactly along its current finish. I’m assuming it’s just some imperfect sandpaper work from the maker. Only other thing of note is that the handle is stunning
