Edit - adding bundle option with Kato 240 Std and Raquin 210 for $3.5k

Hi KKF,

Decided to list my Blue 1 Togashi Honyaki from the custom batch order placed with the help of Eric (@ReiHamono). These were originally ordered as rough ground forged blanks. I humbly admit I have no where near the skill needed to finish this so i sent it over to @Blank Blades. who did a phenomal job both with the grind and then the polish. His work on the knife is well documented in this thread here - Kenji Togashi Custom Honyaki.

This is a beast of a knife with goldilocks specs. I've used it lightly a home and it's really cool to see the patina come to life over top the insane banding. This knife comes with the signed Togashi Kiri box. Handle is curly mango sealed with Odies Oil and board wax. I picked this piece of wood because the movement of the grain was similar to what was going on with the banding in the blade and they compliment each other well.

I will call out there are some light scratches picked up from normal use along the blade and also a couple from the handle install. I was able to capture the handle scratches pretty well in pics and feel like video's will give you a good feel of the blade itself. If anyone wants more pictures feel free to reach out.

Struggling where to price this one based on similar recent sale, but also taking in to account the scratches, so going with $1,750 $1,700 $1,600 $1,500 $1,450 shipped/insured CONUS, $1,800 $1,750 $1,650 $1,550 $1,500 international

Thought I might try to spice this one up with some bundle action of two Japanese masters. I'll go $3k for both this and a 240 Kato Standard Blue #2 if that tempts anyone over the edge.

Kato Specs:
L: 230mm
H: 51mm
W: 198g

Adding a little more heat to the bundle option. Will do the Togashi & Kato plus this 210 Raquin for $3,500.

Notes on the Raquin: Bought direct at least a year ago. Soft iron cladding over 125sc. Great taper and balance to the blade. KU has nice texture and the handle is super comfortable. @pcs-abc put a wonderful Kasumi on this one for me and it's one of the best cutting Raquin's I've used (out of 5 examples). This is his 'regular' grind, which I think is his sweet spot. KT's have been a little wedgy for me and the classic can get lasery.

Raquin Specs:
L: 211mm
H: 54mm
W: 176g

Future unicorn status, once togashi retires, there goes the best blue 1 honyaki (at least in my opinion).

Can't believe you can get this with the insane polish and nice handle for close to the price of a white honyaki
