For Sale: Toyama Nakiri 180 x 58 184grams

Price: $375 Shipped USA

Really pretty sad to let this one go. Picked this up from Zahocho a while back and have used it and sharpened it. Something special about the way this knife cuts, always put a smile on my face, even noticeably better than some other Toyamas Ive had.

I’ve never had the opportunity to try a wat pro. Lots of speculation/sort of verified by maxim(obscure in an old thread where he mentioned the sticker on the ferrule indicating Toyama) that Toyama was making the wat pro line for a while. I’ve had a KU wat gyuto and personally didn’t think it preformed as well as the migaki finished SS knives from Toyama. Regardless and more to the point, can’t speak for the wat pro, but this knife is an incredible performer and that has been verified across the forum.

I have always heard great things about the Toyama nakiri, but I was curious how different it may be from the Wat Pro. As you know, as much as you may love a particular knife, there is always that underlining pursuit of the next expierence. This is a dangerous hobby in that regard. Love the Wat Pro but want to fiddle a Toyama.
