Letting this beauty of a blade go, I haven't been reaching for it much lately, and a knife like this should have a good home. My Stainless Clad Toyama 240 has it beat in everything except that it can't produce the beautiful kasumi and patina of this 210 iron clad.

I removed the old JNS handle since it was so beat up and replaced it with a nice blonde horn ho wood Taihei d handle.

I also gave it a nice kasumi finish to give it that Konosuke Tetsujin-esque look, which I found very handsome. The kasumi also revealed some nice metal banding on the left face of the knife.

Specs: 213 mm x 47 mm

Shipping from Canada, payment through PayPal G&S.

Asking for $390, around the price of a new SS Toyama 210. First $20 shipping covered by me. SOLD

If possible I'm also looking for a trade + cash for a iron clad Toyama/Watanabe 240.

This is the choil shot, it is deceptive because of an under grind near the heel. The rest of the blade is thin enough for comfy horizontal cuts through onions.

If you're wondering about the background, I took this shot in front of my computer monitor.

I thought the background might have been out the window of your private jet 😁😁

It looks pretty clear to me that Toyama iron clad = heaven. GLWS

Nice, if these are your specs Watoyama ironclad is a killer performer. What did you use for the kasumi?
I used kasumi stone power, made it into a paste and rubbed it with an very midly abrasive sponge.

It would be a lot more painful to kasumi finish a convex knife like this one.
