This Fujiwara is from the first round when the Nashiji had Sakai Geometry with machi and emotto. People went crazy for this knife, 6 months or so later price dropped, the geometry changed. Blade got taller, less distal taper, thicker behind the edge, no machi, quality nose dived.

Machi is the wide part of the neck that connects with the choil. Some knives have machi eg Konosuke, others don't eg Carter's.

Koakuma, thank you for catching my mistake, Machi is a more accurate discription. I reverse the two terms often.
