Offering my Tsourkan for a trade. It’s in great shape, was sharpened 2-3 times and thinned once by the previous owner just enough to reset the bevel. The balance point is 43mm from the handle (right before the maker’s mark) which makes it somewhat blade heavy but but not overly so. Very nice height for a Tsourkan and perfect profile.
Video:
240 x 54mm
280g
52100 monosteel
Zircote handle
Spine thickness: 4mm at handle, 3.8 at heel, 2.4 midway, 0.9mm 1cm from tip
$675 value incl. shipping
I’m looking for:
- midweight or “light WH” gyutos (230-260mm long and not too tall, 52mm max)
- long petties (180 - 220mm)
- cleavers (light and thin)
Preferred makers (but open to others);
- Tsourkan (non-WH, esp. westerns)
- Takada no Hamono
- Dalman (esp. cleaver and western)
- Milan
- Yannick
- Raquin
- Isasmedjan
- Markin
- Ashi (wa cleaver only)
Preferably knives of equal or lower value.
Thanks!
