Man seeks veggie cleaver (slicer) around 190mm x 100mm for fun times.

I’m interested to see what all the fuss is about with cleavers, looking to start with a smaller size around the 190mm x 100mm size.
I’d prefer a less reactive steel and a chubby handle with no neck, but at these non-standard dimensions I will consider anything that’s out there. Message me if you’re looking to move something on to a new home and you’re okay with shipping to Australia.

Hi! I think I have something that you would enjoy. I have a Misono No 61 that has had its edge thinned and profile flattened a bit. The fit and finish are impeccable, but it the steel above the edge isn't as clean any more due to the thinning for improved performance. Misono has some of the most even grinds I have ever had the joy of using in a cleaver. https://japanesechefsknife.com/products/misono-molybdenum-steel-series-chinese-cleaver-7-4inch. I'll get you some photos as soon as I can. Do realize that you will be paying for shipping to Austraila and it could be anywhere from $35-$50 USD. I'd be looking for $100 + Shipping for this knife. If you can find said knife at a cheaper price where you are, or shipped from Japan, this is where I would start. You don't need to buy from me but this should be a good starting point. If you want to start with a classic Chinese chef knife, I would get a Dexter Russell Stainless Steel Chinese Chef Knife. There is a reason it is the standard chinese kitchen knife at most chinese kitchens in the US.
