My friend Gomes & I went to Honolulu collectors fair they have gone downhill over the years. Most modern action figures. All that crap. I have found cool things in the past.

Got a Hawaii Ice Company tongs used when still used ice boxes with delivered ice to preserve food. Many places in Hawaii didn't have refrigerators esp. rural areas until late 1930's early 1940's refrigerators became more common. Gomes delivered 300# blocks to Hotels that I carved ice for. Of coarse I used much more robust tongs for 300# blocks.
Paid 8.00 for them handle was rotted on ends fixed that with epoxy. The rusted tongs had some pitting I sanded off most of rust sharpened the tips so would grab ice & sprayed rust inhibitor on the metal. Maybe I'll give them to a shave ice place. The best Hawaiian shave ice is shaved from block ice instead of snow kind.
