Here's another sweet little Nakayama kiita from the same collection as the last one. This one is more narrow but what it lacks in stature, it makes up tenfold in performance.
This is a super duper fast cutting stone that starts removing metal immediately without any hesitation with no nagura/slurry medium. It's not quite as hard as the last stone and has velvety tactile feel with whispy audible feedback. The audible/tactile feedback while finishing razors is absolutely sublime.
When slurry is forced, it just. magnifies the sensations and the slurry has a grit rich/alive feel akin to really good Nakayama.
The coloration is on the orange side with light nashiji and red iromono showing through. Kawa surrounds the stone on all sides. Mounted to a nice wooden dai.
