Last set Universal LF&C again blade in great shape. Scored on this knife & fork set. Excellent condition. Give a spine shot to show you how thin these 1890's are. I'll pack em in tubes, oiled & sharpened.

This blade I got in 2015 when I restored 4 sets & sold them quickly. I couldn't sell it because it had damage to the blade. I don't know how it got a line of groves along the blade. Maybe a steel. I've used it carving turkey at my nieces house we go there for Thanksgiving I help her with the meal she always invites other people.

Lately have it on the mag block as a slicer don't own a sujihiki. Was going to buy a Costco roast chicken to show it's carving ability but went to dentist today. I haven't had a cavity in almost 10 years since started taking better care of teeth last cleaning x ray showed 4 cavity Dentist was surprised too. Turns out it was the powder adding to my water it was highest rated on internet. For 9 months been drinking about half gallon of water a day. It's base is apple cider vinegar with 3 flavors. Looked up apple cider vinegar it's bad for tooth enamel. Water is very fluid & you don't brush your teeth drinking water. It got into area's some under the gum. Today over 3 hours in the chair was brutal.

Made a omelette with the 1890's carving knife ate it with a numb mouth.

I know off topic but I feel stupid for buying into high rated electrolyte additive that damaged my teeth. Over 10 years ago started brushing & flossing twice a day. Realized getting older & only one set of teeth. Actually a low % of seniors over 70 still have all their teeth like I do. My better half has had several root canals.

I know that there is a lot of BS about health benefits on internet it's like snake oil kicked into overdrive delivered to millions buyer beware.

Is this what people call a scimitar?

Price drop 65.00 this is really a nice set no pitting at all. Hardly used blade full blade geometry no pitting. That means it was stored in conditions where rust didn't take hold. Hard to find examples like this.

I don't know maybe folks don't carve anymore. We have family parties Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year lots of food local style. Been using same carving knife & fork that was so marked up had to keep it. Since 2015.

Two sets left this one & natural handle which I like too. The small pitting at tip is no big deal I let up patina anyway & clean up all rust so clean knife if taken care of will last decades with no rust.
