Asking Euro 350.
So… Let’s start with all the good things. This is an Elmax from Patrik. And in true Patrik fashion you can trust that the steel is nice. He got this one up to 65 HRC. And the grind is also quite the treat. Just BTE the knife is concave, but the transition to the black finish is convex. This knife cuts really well. And the knife is really fun to use. Everyone should have knife with a front belly.
But let’s get in to the embarrassing part. I’ll not explain the line of reasoning that got me there, but it is what it is. The handle is palm tree, which I got the bright idea to burn for a dark finish. Didn’t consider that the wood would move. Fortunately it wasn’t that bad, and I’ve filled the gap with CA glue and sanded the handle. As it is now it is good. But I felt like such an idiot just after burning the handle. There are a couple ”lines” in the wood due to how the fibers are. I’ve checked it thoroughly, and I don’t have any concerns about the handle as it is now. And I think it looks good. But I want to be up front with these things.
Why am I selling? I’m clearly a sucker for rusty. I just don’t connect with stainless, so I can’t really justify keeping it, despite it being a very good knife.
244 x 54, 229 g. Elmax, 65 HRC. Western, palm wood (burnt…). Bought summer -22.
Album and timestamp:
I hope this is a fair price. If you’re of a different opinion, let me know.
Price includes global shipping and payment via Paypal G&S. If shipping fees are low we can adjust price.
