Here's a few pics of the 150mm petty pre/post etching.I would have took a spine shot but i don't think it would show up on camera.Hopefully I will have the 240mm gyutos done this weekend.

The steel comp is 01/L6.I love 01 so I am sure I will love it,but as you know it's all about HT so after it hits the stones I can say if i love it or not.

Now a just have to take her to the stones and see how she cuts.

Very nice! Is that his "random" pattern?

Very nice. I like your work. I know that I'm going to have to start making some knives in a more traditional Japanese style, and yours are definitely inspiration to that end.

Here's one of the 240mm gyutos .This one was ground from 3/32 stock,so it's very thin.

This is the 1/8" stock I got from Del.
The edge is 9 3/4"
The height is 2"
The weight without handle is 166 grams
The spine is 0.104 over the heel.
The tip is 0.033
She's not a laser but I feel she will cut pretty good.
