Wondering about this Knife?

How can you tell if this or any other is a "K Sabatier"?
What are the telltale signs and is the authentic types of marking?

The "K" on the handle is just an owners mark.
I suspect this is what the blade hallmark looks like. This is from a knife Bernal had and dated 1891-1919. In 1891 it became required to indicate country of manufacture for imports. I'm not sure where they're getting 1919 from, but I'd be inclined to trust that date because they wrote a book with a chapter on Thiers, France and cutlery production...

Marking is definitely authentic and worn down from thinning. I’ve seen it many times. Handle is original, except for the K cut into it. Very dry ebony handles look that color. If you oil the handle, it will revert back to black. Attached are pics of my la trompette, before and after giving the handle a light 0000 steel wool and mineral oil treatment. There’s several similar markings from la trompettes 1878 line. The third pic is a different knife but similar la trompette marking that I own.
