Looking to get $1300 for the Santoku.
The Nikiri Sold!
Selling to fund some other knives on order.
These are Brand New. They are part of his new series of knives called Kanayago. They are tamahagane core, warikomi iron with his original kurouchi. Both are prototypes with serial numbers on the tang. You can do more research on them from this website here: www.yashayukawa.com/kanayago

These have got a Jiro vibe on steroids. The Nihonto heritage is very evident in his offerings. Any idea what hardness the core is heat treated to by the swordsmith? Price is also good vs what maker was asking on his website.

Can we get a choil shot? and some specs like weight.

Agreed… three pictures of these is clearly not enough.

@Corradobrit1

I had a tamahagane knife by him a whole ago. It felt a little harder than shiraki whwhite, but not as hard as tf white 1. Definitely as hard as modern white steel and on the harder side of steel

Thumbnails are from the Nikiri.
These knives are hefy, solid weight to them. I can weight them later if you're interested.

Yasha said, "I gauge everything by eye, judging by the color, it's hard to say exactly how many degrees."

Oh also the edge taking and ease of sharpening on mine was very good too, and it was relatively tough. Definitely a great heat treat.

His teacher's instruction are evident -- Yasha's swordsmith master tests his own swords extensively, and so there is emphasis on sharpness and toughness. There are some demonstrations on youtube. Matsuba Kunimasa.
