I hate to do this since I love how the Denka looks and feels but it doesn't offer anything that I don't already have in my rotation.

Used about three times in a home environment for very small tasks; think sauteed mushrooms and a bunch of green onions.

I have not personally sharpened or stropped the knife but it did come with an edge from when I bought it.

Clean bevels and no overgrinds; there is some wabi-sabi with the yo handle but nothing particularly major IMO.

A slight piggy by the edge for Denka standards but still a nice cutter (the last picture is the most accurate looking shot).

Asking $650 shipped CONUS; I'll cover the first $15 in shipping for international buyers if interested.

cladding looks awfully close to edge, could you take close ups?
Good point. Here are a few close-ups for anyone interested. It's certainly close at some points but the core steel is centered and none of the points extend to the edge itself.

Looks like it has some cushion for the push cuttin' Would be an amazing candidate for a district cutlery regrind, or honestly a resourceful individual in possession of a shapton 120 grit.
Indeed.
When the edge bevel shows up in the choil shot, we’re beholding a diamond in the rough.

Ideal excuse to get a coarse FSK Oboro, if you ask me … my Shapton 120 is not anyone’s speed racer.

I would agree with you on the Oboro. The shapton 120 works wonders on stainless clad knives in my experience. Soft gummy stainless cladding refreshes the surface of the stone constantly so it just eats steel. I have not found a faster stone.

A bit of an earlier bump than usual although for good reason. I ended up reshooting the choil shot so that it was more accurate after looking back on the one from yesterday; still a bit of a piggy but not as bad as it looked originally with the angle.

//Bump.
