Underrated knife. The more you use it the more you'll like it. The cutting performance reminds me of a Kuwahara.

Thoughts and Observations
  • Very flat profile, even flatter than most santokus (a plus for me)
  • One of the better onion cutters I've used.
  • Can wedge quite a bit in the initial thick cuts in a carrot.
  • Tip is deceptively thin.
  • Excellent food release (see video below).
  • Decent blue steel. A bit more refined than average, but nothing special.

  • Hira is somewhat concave on the left side but slightly convex on the right..
  • Kireha is very slightly convex throughout, almost flat.
