...or why you would throw your aromatics straight into the water instead of sweating them first...

There are several things wrong with that video. I also can't stand scraping the knife edge against the board at a 90 degree angle. It's not hard to scrape ingredients with the spine.

Apparently there's a knife commercial somewhere between all that scraping...

That was bloody awesome! the scrape sound gave me the same reaction as nails on a chalkboard. I actually felt sorry for that thing called a knife. How much pressure can you put on your edge when fine dicing??? oh boy.

Alright well sorry for the **** link and it's not really YouTube, but one of these damn kickstarter videos popped up in my Facebook feed and I got really triggered at the "knife tests" and knife cuts.

I just dug this up again, my god, them skills.. :ggodjob:

I think I threw up just watching that! People are INSANE!!! And incredibly gross! And it’s people like that the reason we Need health departments today!

@aaamax that looks like enough pressure that a dull knife would do the work as well :)

Also, did anyone else get some Hot and Sour Space Odyssey weirdness in their head watching it? And ponder whether people that buy that kind of knife have guests experienced enough to know not to try and eat the whole thai chiles?

Gotta be a gag. Aside from the fact that its absurd and gross, the way they splashed it in the latte at the end, def a joke!

Seems like this should be a classic, but I don't remember seeing it when I read through this whole thread on the weekend. Also, why he has a revolver on the table should speak volumes... Please don't enjoy...

His trousers seemed to be unzipped in the second cutting section. Maybe also unbuttoned during the first cutting scene!

Because the cult of celebrity has made everyone think that attention grabbing leads to self worth...

Does lead to some great watching though!
