    Shapton Glass Stone holder

I use one as well, if you flip it over, it acts as a stone holder. The best deal would be the 4 piece set, 1 holder and 3 stones. If you have the pond, placing the holder on the pond is like glue - It will not move anywhere! I just use a midsized hangiri to sharpen my knives now, it works really...

Passing the hanging hair test off a coarse stone (120)

Appreciate the detailed response, I only use mine for light load vegetables such as cucumbers, carrots, onions and sorts. Sometimes I sneak in a few slices of proteins to cut it :D In fact, I do this with my Shig deba as well, these are just small tasks. I always clean as I go, the cutting...

Building a guided sharpening system for full size stones

I love how you used the carbon fiber camera sliders, also the ball joint is a nice addition. Creative and very practical, this could work for those who have arthritis.

Did you also get that plate from Korin? I was thinking about getting the same thing, love the contrast on it.

    Cutting board

Wow this made me salivate, I love the broth from all those herbs and spices with the silky. You also have a fresh silky! The meat is much chewier than the frozen ones. I usually ball up a clump of sticky rice and place it in the center, eat it as I eat the silky. Looks really good, thanks for...

HA! Yea, that setup looks insanely practical for many things. Test of time will tell!

How well do those handles hold over time from being washed? Any buckling or mold? I would think they'll be waxed and sealed before being attached. I have this phobia that juices and water leaking over will manifest into a moldy village over time.
