So I have been toying with this idea for a while now. A way to do a strong, sanitary handle, that looks good, yet isn't expensive to build.
Synthetics are a little tougher than woods, but look kinda sterile. Its hard to dress it up, and not look over the top. Commercial carbon fiber is usually lay up flat, looks good on 2 sides, and all edge grain on the others.
This is a process I figured out after several attempts, finally figured a way to do it. This is hand layerd carbon fiber, so you can see the fibers all around. I used white vulcanized fiber spacers, to break it up a little, and a G10 ferrule, and end cap.
I would like to know what you think. For or against, if you like the idea or not.
