Strolled through an antiques festival today and came across this. I think most people (except knife forum types) wouldn't have looked twice at a knife with a plastic handle held together with some flat head bolts and square nuts (strangely not fitting into the countersunk holes...). Blade looks suspiciously like a canadian sab. finger guard/bolster...martinet forge? fiteen bucks didn't seem like a stretch. Especially for someone always looking to re-handle and eyeing TBT's canadian massifs.
i don't see a maker's mark
could this be anything other than a sab?
not sure if many others forged similarly
8" blade
check out the tang that tapers down to almost nothing
anyways...thought you would enjoy
