I took pics yesterday of the kanji and e-mailed them to a potter buddy here in Seagrove.
Hello, TomYes, no problem.
The first photo on top said " SAIJYOU" means " the best", and lower letter is not clear on the photo, so I am not sure, but I guess same company name as the second photo.
The second photo said "TOUROKU SYOUHYOU KANESOH" it means this is registared trademark by KANESOH. This knife is made by Kanesoh, which is in Tokyo, Asakusa.
