Little aside, I saw a couple of people mentioning the discount code for Tokushu. Can anyone comment on the quality of their home brand? Was looking at this which seem pretty cheap, but don't really trust it. https://tokushuknife.com/products/honesuki-tokushu-sld
So this is actually a relevant question and not just an aside, though it sounds like you may have already made a decision. I own several of the Tadafusa knives, in my case from the Hitohira TD line. Far as I can tell, same blades as the Tokeshu brand with different handles. Anyway, early on in my japanese knife journey I bought both the Honesuki and 150mm petty (as well as the 135mm petty in SLD but it is similar enough in shape to the 150 to be redundant beyond stainlessness)

and

The petty is CHONKY! Just barely thinner than the Honesuki. You could likely very confidently do some butchery with the petty and have a more multipurpose knife at your disposal rather than the more dedicated honesuki.

Carbon has both in stock

Aaaand after all that I just pulled out the petty from the box and pushed on the edge with my fingernail...its nail going. Much thinner behind the edge than I remember even given its Chonkiness. I wouldnt use it around bones after all. Much nicer than I remember as well. I think I didnt know enough about knives when I put this thing away thinking it was too fat for a petty. I may have to re-evaluate this guy. Those Tadafusa knives are full of surprises. The bunka is just an absolute banger if you like little knives, for example, but I digress. Anyway....

TLDR: the Hitohira TD Honesuki is a decent low cost option

That was a fun train of thoughts to follow! I got excited when you mentioned the petty. I actually know a shop not far from me that have the hitohira honesuki, so I'll be able to see it first hand.
I dont seem to see any of the discount you mentioned, on either Bernal or coutelier

The discounts show up at checkout, and apparently the Bernal sale is still on for a few more hours.

Also the petty would probably be fine for poultry butchery. But that doesn’t sound like your use case.
